Renovation and rehabilitation of Kashmir Road

Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhter, Chairman ABAD Arif Yousuf Jeewa, Patron-in-chief Mohsin Sheikhani and Chairman DMC East Moed Anwar inaugurated renovated Kashmir Road with the active support of Association of Builders and Developers of Pakistan (ABAD).

Kashmir road was neglected since a long time as even street lights were not available on this important road. ABAD collaborated with DMC East for renovation and rehabilitation of the road by illuminating it with powerful LED lights and coloring polls and walls. Vice Chairman ABAD Sohail Warind, Chairman Southern Region Altaf Tai, Convener KMC Sub-Committee ABAD Rahil Rinch, a number of ABAD members, Municipal Commissioner AKhter Ali Sheikh, Superintending Engineer Tariq Mughal and other Municipal officials were also present on this occasion.

Speaking to mediapersons after inauguration, Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhter said that today we have started work to provide civic facilities in real terms with the support and help of private partnership. We are not turning back on cleaning the city as all DMC Chairmen are instructed to keep close liaison and watch on cleaning work being undertaken by the Solid Waste Management., he said adding that the city will be beautified to its original glory. He said that if we will own the city, it is not impossible to glorify the only mega city of Pakistan. He thanked Chairman ABAD Arif Jeewa and Association of Builders and Developers for supporting KMC in its endeavor to make Karachi the City of Lights.

Addressing mediapersons, Chairman ABAD Arif Yousuf Jeewa said that we will provide all out support to Mayor and Chairmen of DMCs for betterment of the city and that we will see many development works completed during the tenure of Waseem Akhter as Mayor. ABAD will continue to support Mayor and DMCs Chairmen in this direction, he said adding that business community of Karachi is ready to help and support civic bodies to minimize civic problems of the city. He said that energizing Kashmir Road is our social responsibility as real citizen and owner of the city.

Chairman DMC East Moed Anwar said that we have meager resources against huge problems and we believe that Private Public Partnership is the need of hour to solve these problems. He said that we are grateful to ABAD and its chairman Arif Jeewa for their active support to rehabilitate and renovate Kashmir Road.

ABAD Delegation met D.I.G. EAST

A delegation of ABAD led by M. Sohail Warind Vice Chairman ABAD with Mr. Altaf Tai Chairman Southern Region, Mr. Asif Sumsum Convener Law & Order / Anti-Encroachment Cell, Mr. Ahmed Bumbiya, Mr. Ashfaq Shaikhani, Mr. Nadeem Jeewa and Mr. Nasir Lakhani Co-Conveners of the Committee met Mr. Sultan Ali Khawaja, D.I.G. EAST, Sindh Police on 9th November at his Office. The meeting started with Recitation from Holy Quran by Mr. Nadeem Jeewa and with brief  introduction from both sides. Mr. Sultan Ali Khawaja, D.I.G.
